'A few male friends asked me to do a post for men.' -- I had this sentence sitting in my drafts since a month back. Pasting pictures of styles from look books wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Unable to think of anything creative, I left the sentence in my drafts and did other posts instead. Until a week back, I realized - there are so many stylish men around me - on my college campus! With the help of these brilliantly dressed men, I can finally put up this post. Yay!
Tip Number 1 : Don't wear print on print. Unless you know how to carry that off.
DON'T wear floral shirts & floral shorts or nautical striped t shirt & chequered shorts. Its wrong.
Tip Number 2 : Avoid baggy jeans.Jeans should fit you well - not too loose, not too tight. If you like baggy, go for cargos!
Tip Number 3 : Wear your size
I know a lot of people who wear clothes 2 sizes bigger. WHY ?! Wear your size. You don't want to float in your clothes. :)
Tip Number 4 : Collars.
If you're wearing a shirt / collared T-shirt - DON'T pop your collars. It is uncool. You could rather go for bright colours to gain that attention. :D
Tip Number 5 : Shoes.
Wear your football shoes to play football. Your basketball shoes to play basketball. Your bathroom chappals in the bathroom. Don't mix them up.
The above were simple tips that are easy to follow. If you want to wear something daring and different - read below.
The colour Pink
Model : Rahil Thakkar
If you can carry off this colour +10. Wear pink with other neutrals like whites/blacks/tans/nudes. Pink adds sophistication to your look.
Baby pink is an easy colour to wear. Striped shirts (Eg.pink + grey) are great, too!
Family of Brown
Model : Shantanu Gad
Shantanu has worn khaki coloured jeans with dark brown footwear. Wearing colours of the same family can look very appealing. (Grey jeans - black shoes +1). When I saw this combination, I thought it looked very artistic too!
Shorts above the knee
Model : Monish Ganesan
If you're skinny - try this. Wearing shorts above the knee can be stylish (and not childish). Monish pulled off the look well by wearing a printed Tshirt (that gives an edgy look) with a tan belt.
Leaving your t-shirt tucked out might make the shorts look shorter - avoid doing so.
Colour Blocking
Model : Monish Ganesan
Model : Rahul Pai
Colour blocking has been BIG since the past 2 seasons. There aren't too many men (or women !) who can carry more than one loud colour on them. It is time to go beyond your comfort zone. Monish & Rahul have colour blocked their attires too well.
Monish chose Violet and Green, a cool colour palette. The colours suit his skin tonal value. You can also try warm colours.
Rahul wears his vibrant yellow chappals on Ultra Marine Blue / Red pants. He has played safe by teaming that up with a black T shirt.
P.S : If you can't wear lenses, go for funky/vintage glasses! Throw away your rim-less glasses. Rahul chooses vintage oval glasses for his face-type.
If you can carry bold colours, you can try these combitionations too!

Shoes

Bored of your formal brogues & oxfords ? Don't worry!
You can try coloured ones. If you don't like carrying too much colour, you can fold up your jeans/pants.
Ronak chose brown coloured rolled up pants on his artistic shoes. He wore green laces for an edgy look. Can't handle coloured shoes too well ? Go for coloured laces!
Hope this post was of some help to you.
